In the isolated town of Atherton, nothing is as it appears. With the help of Sophia Durham, an outsider whose presence threatens Atherton’s carefully controlled order, Wesley follows a trail leading beneath City Hall and into a secret mountain laboratory. There, the truth is more horrifying than any conspiracy he imagined: the Elites are not merely ruling the town—they are using it to replace human minds, exploit vulnerable bodies, and conceal an ancient alien presence that has infiltrated the community.

But the danger is no longer confined to the mountain. Wesley’s best friend, Xavier “Zavy” Devereux, is framed for Everett’s murder and placed in the path of ascension. Sophia is wounded and taken, Wesley’s parents may still be alive, and the people he once trusted reveal motives as dangerous as the forces controlling Atherton.
