Variegated - Exhibiting different colors. In the military, soldiers work together because lives are at stake. Learning to rely on each other is an integral part of military life. However, serving under “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was contrary to military teamwork because to serve, one had to lie about oneself. I’m proud of my military career; I wish we all could have shown our true colors.
